RAF FWD2 Radio Truck

This example of an ex RAF FWD2 was restored by John Jackson between 1984 and 1986. John obtained the vehicle as a chassis and cab unit with the rear 15 inches of chassis missing and the wrong wheels. A lucky conversation enabled him to find the remains of the original body in a pub car park near Huntingdon.

John described driving the vehicle as "heavy and noisy".

The chassis number is 51292.
