This car is a 1926 model. Chassis number is 40081.  It was originally fitted with an 18/50 engine which also had the number 40108 but now has a 20.9 engine number 40442.

The car was found in a derelict state without an engine.  A 20.9 engine was obtained from New Zealand and rebuilt by John Canning who also built the new body himself as a replica of Crossley's own coachwork.
