The 2009 Crossley Register UK rally, organised by Bob James, was held in the Welsh Borders with a base at a hotel in Caersws.

On Saturday there was a spectacular run over the Welsh Mountains to the Centre for Alternative Technology near Machynlleth for a visit and lunch stop. The return was on a lower route through narrow lanes. The weather was mostly kind.

For Sunday the route went east into England finishing near Knighton.
