The Royal Flying Corps (RFC) bought thousands of Crossley 20/25 and later 25/30 chassis to be used as Tenders (light trucks) This example is a 25/30 dating from 1919 so is too late to be an RFC as the Royal Air Force came into being in 1918.
Although widely seen up to the 1970s, this rare and very original example has spent the last few years in storage but is now out and about again including attending the 2010 Gordon Bennet Rally in Ireland.
The engine is 13364 and the chassis 12072.
