Crossley DD42 double decker bus

This bus is a DD42/8A bought by Derby Corporation in 1952 and carried their number 111. The chassis number is 95309 and the body was by Brush. The bus is now kept at the Tameside Transport Collection. These buses were built to the 8 feet wide specification and use the HOE7/5 8.6 litre engine with downdraught cylinder head and four speed synchromesh gearbox. Derby bought five of this type.
